Positive East's HIV testing programme is providing regular free, fast and confidential rapid HIV testing, with dedicated services.
No need to make an appointment, just attend during clinic sessions (please ensure you arrive at least 30 minutes before the end of the session):
- Tuesdays (6.00pm to 9.00pm) at
Positive East Stepney,
open to all
- Wednesdays (3pm to 6pm) for Africans in Hackney at
Geffrye Community Centre, Falkirk Street, N1 6SD
- Saturdays (12pm to 3pm) for Africans in Hackney at
St John at Hackney, Lower Clapton Road, E6 0PD

Need to find a local HIV test clinic? Want a free, confidential and fast
HIV test in East London?
Using a unique and innovative community focused programme, Positive East is delivering new service to East London, targeted at the African communities and Gay Communities to help reduce the dramatic levels of late testing of HIV infections.
We currently provide:

Open to all onsite testing at Positive East every Tuesday from 6.00pm to 9.00pm at:
Positive East, 159 Mile End Road E1 4AQ

A dedicated rapid HIV testing for Africans living in Hackney at:
Wednesday, 3pm to 6pm at
Geffrye Community Centre, Falkirk Street, N1 6SD
Saturday, 12pm to 3pm at
St John at Hackney, Lower Clapton Road, E6 0PD

We used a community testing approach, going out into the local areas to promote the services, using a combination of NHS trained clinical and local community volunteers
