Donate to Positive East
Positive East is a registered social care charity in England and Wales, whose focus is on HIV. We work with individuals and communities affected by HIV, predominantly in east London. By making a secure online donation you can help support Positive East gain and sustain the health, wellbeing and independence of people affected by HIV through offering a comprehensive range services.
Online donations is the simplest and most effective ways of giving to charity. You can use our online donation site by clicking here, which minimises costs and maximises your gift donation. Or simply text "EAST01" with the value of your donation (e.g. EAST01 £5) to "70070" and we get every penny!
Gift Aid: Tax efficient giving
Gift aid is one of the simplest and most effective ways of giving to charity. If you elect to treat your donations to Positive East as a 'Gift Aid Donation' we can claim from the HMRC the basic tax you have paid when earning the money as well. This means for every £1 you give, we can receive an extra 28p. That really can make a difference!
What is more if you are a higher-rate tax payer you too can benefit since you can reclaim the extra tax when you fill in your next tax return. This means that for every £100 you donate it only costs you £77 (you reclaim the extra tax of 18p in the £ on the gross value of the donation) and we benefit, thanks to the Gift Aid Scheme, by £128, which goes to supporting our work.
So please do remember to tick the gift aid box when making your donation!
