Positive East’s Employment Support programme is here to help you when you are ready to look for a job.

  • One-to-one advice and guidance from a qualified professional to help with career choices, education, training and identifying volunteering opportunities
  • Access to a database of current vacancies
  • Help to produce an effective CV and support when completing application forms Interview advice and practice

Employment support information:

  • Apply Yourself is Positive East's course to help support your return to work. It is open to service users with the right to work or study in the UK, who are thinking about returning to work or starting work for the first time. Our next course is from Wednesday 15th February 2012 through to Wednesday 5th March, 10.30am to 4.30pm.

  • Aidsmap HIV Treatment update (Feb 2011) looked at how changes in benefits might affect people with HIV. They quoted a doctor and a patient rep who both said that if people could manage a return to work, it often paid huge dividends in terms of health and self-esteem.
