Lord Cashman will lead a conversation exploring Maupin’s life\, work\, and the enduring impact of his stories\, which continue to be a beacon of hope and resistance. \nIn 1978\, Maupin introduced the world to the vibrant life of San Francisco with the publication of the first Tales of the City novel. This groundbreaking series\, spanning ten books\, has gone on to captivate millions with its authentic and insightful portrayals of the LGBTQ+ community across decades. \nThe evening will feature a reading from Maupin’s work\, followed by a discussion. A book signing will conclude the event\, offering an opportunity to meet the author. \nThis is a rare opportunity to hear from one of our greatest storytellers and thinkers of our time.
