DESCRIPTION:View the entire UK AIDS Memorial Quilt in Tate Modern’s Turbine Hall \n\n\n \n \n\nA combination of 42 quilts and 23 individual panels will be displayed in the Turbine Hall\, echoing how the UK AIDS Memorial Quilt (c.1989-ongoing) was shown outdoors as a form of protest to raise awareness for the ongoing AIDS pandemic. On Saturday 14 June\, there will be a live reading of the names at 11.00 and 14.00. \nThis display is presented by Tate in partnership with UK AIDS Memorial Quilt and initiated by Charlie Porter. Curated by Elliot Gibbons\, Collaborative Doctoral Researcher. \nClick here for full details and information about some workshops and events in association with the exhibition

SUMMARY:Move with Pride - Movement and Dance workshops with Joshua Royal
DESCRIPTION:Join us for this series of three Saturday afternoon movement and dance workshops with HIV activist and former professional ballet dancer Joshua Royal\, in the run up to Pride in London \nSome of you will have met Joshua at his sessions in the recent Spring Forward series\, or from his work with HIV The Naked Truth. This will be a relaxed session\, open to anyone registered to use our services\, or eligible to (living in an East London Borough\, or getting your HIV treatment in an East London HIV clinic).  It’s also open to current Food Chain clients who attend Eating Together. There’ll be some fruit and light snacks available. \nSession One: Saturday 7th June – Standing tall and proud and moving confidently \nSession Two: Saturday 14th June – Explore some dance moves and their meaning \nSession Three: Saturday 21st June – Putting it all together with Pride \nNo dance experience is necessary\, and it won’t be over-exerting. You can even take part seated if that’s better for you.  The sessions aren’t about perfection\, but about taking part – and enjoying the feeling of moving with pride. \nIf travel or care costs are a barrier to taking part\, you need to let us know in advance.
