We’re thrilled to be having an exhibition of garments made by our Stitch Sisters group at St. Margaret’s House Gallery.
Stitch Sisters is part of our Re:Assure programme for women living with HIV. Women come together and learn how to make a garment of their own, and whilst doing this build friendships, build confidence and self-esteem, and at the end of the series of sewing workshops have the opportunity to showcase their garments and their growing confidence in a fashion show.
This exhibition showcases the garments, but also the women and the stories behind the project.
The exhibition is open throughout the weekend of 21st and 22nd September. For further information see St. Margaret’s website, or contact Joanne McCarthy who leads the Reassure programme joanne.mcCarthy@positiveeast.org.uk
