Join us for the second in this series of Men’s Wellbeing Workshops delivered by Beyond Equality with the support of the Movember Foundation, for men living with HIV who are registered (or eligible) to use our services
In this second workshop, running as a joint session with our Rainbow Men Group, we’ll be looking at Masculinities and Seeking Support, exploring such things as:
- How different ideas of masculinities can inhibit or encourage us to seek help or support in a particular manner
- Looking at how we can build our social networks of support that are encouraging both self-care and help-seeking
- Exploring how we can build both personal trust and overcome discomfort in order to be able to seek help
- Reflecting upon the ‘armour’ or ‘masks’ we feel the need to wear to protect ourselves in the conversation around mental wellbeing.
A delicious hot meal will be served just after 6pm shared with people attending Rainbow Men. The workshop will begin at 7pm. Please let us know in advance if you intend to come so we can plan for numbers.
If travel or care costs are a barrier to taking part, you need to let us know in advance. See here for details of eligibility
