Together is our social and support group for anyone living with HIV. This group is for you if you are HIV positive and either live in East London or get your HIV care in an East London clinic. It usually meets on the second Wednesday evening of each month, but this day and time may vary especially for visits out, so its best to check these listing regularly.
This month only, we move Together to a Thursday evening to take advantage of the late Thursday evening opening of the Whitechapel Gallery to see the newly opened exhibition of works by artist Hamad Butt “Apprehensions”
“Hamad Butt was one of the most innovative artists of his generation, a pioneer of intermedia art, bringing art into conversation with science, whilst also referencing his Queer and diasporic experiences. He offered a nuanced artistic response to the AIDS crisis in the UK, taking a conceptual rather than activist approach.”
The trip to the gallery will be followed by a shared meal together at a local venue.
If travel or care costs are a barrier to taking part, you need to let us know in advance. See here for details of eligibility
