The community health check is a quick 15-minute screening that assesses key health indicators and provides guidance on lowering the risk of cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and other health conditions.
Trained healthcare assistants conduct the checks and offer support and referrals where necessary.
The check includes:
- Blood pressure measurement
- Body Mass Index (BMI) calculation (height and weight)
- Waist circumference measurement
- Type 2 diabetes risk assessment (using an online tool)
- Smoking status
- Alcohol risk
- Advice and support, including signposting to GP and support services.
There’s no need to book – just drop in to Positive East anytime between Noon and 3pm
