GMI Community Champion

The Community Champion role gives you an opportunity to train as an HIV and STI tester, with a focus on championing and promoting sexual health knowledge in under-represented communities.

The role of Community Champion sits within the GMI Partnership, a collaboration between Positive East, Spectra, and METRO Charity, all working together to promote better sexual health across London.

As a Community Champion, you’ll play a vital role in the London HIV Prevention Programme (LHPP). You’ll be the voice of sexual health in your community—encouraging people to access free, convenient HIV and STI testing kits, championing awareness, and breaking down the barriers that still prevent many from getting the support they need.

We’ll empower you with the skills and knowledge to be an effective health advocate—offering specialized training in HIV testing, sexual and reproductive health, and access to PrEP (pre-exposure prophylaxis).
