We are currently recruiting for the following role(s).

Head of Prevention and Testing, Full time (36 hours per week), £42,000 per year.  6% pension contribution & option of some remote working.  

We are looking for an experienced, compassionate leader ready to lead our dynamic HIV Prevention & Testing, staff and volunteer, team at Positive East shaping our contribution to ending new HIV transmissions by 2030.

You will be committed to ensuring that success over HIV is an inclusive one and that no group or community is left behind.

You will work on addressing existing inequities and inequalities so that the whole HIV combination prevention tool kit is available to all who need it.

You will be an experienced Health Promotion professional, with knowledge of the HIV and sexual health needs of groups and communities disproportionately impacted by HIV, with a particular focus on those who are experiencing inequities and inequalities to accessing information, services and support.

You will be skilled in getting the best from people (whether they be staff or volunteers) maximising the potential of your team.

You will be a creative, solution-focused leader with effective project management skills ensuring the successful delivery of multiple projects.

Fundraising Officer, Full-time (36 hours per week), £30,690 per year.  6% pension contribution & option of some remote working. 

We are looking for a passionate and motivated individual to join Positive East as our new Fundraising Officer. This is a key and varied role that sits within the charity’s busy Fundraising Team.

The role has two primary focuses. 1) You will be responsible for identifying potential new sources of grant funding from charitable trusts and foundations and steward a portfolio of small grants funders. You will also lead on the development of smaller grant proposals and reports.  2)  You will lead on the development and the day-to-day management of our social media presence and digital communications and explore new ways to engage audiences as well as engage with our individual donors.

This role will also contribute to the wider ambitions of the fundraising team and provide support when needed to achieve annual targets.

You will report directly to the Head of Fundraising and Communications and work closely with the Trusts and Foundations Manager.

Office-based with remote working options.

Volunteers are at the heart of the charity and enable us to support over 3,000 people per year! Last year nearly 1 out of 4 hours of our support services were delivered by our cohort of nearly 100 trained and passionate volunteers. 

Through volunteering with us you’ll be making a tremendous positive impact in your community whilst meeting new people, sharing your experiences and learning some new skills.

All of our volunteers will be supported by our dedicated Volunteer Manager and Team Leaders. All travel and lunch will be reimbursed.

Positive East is the largest HIV community-based Charity in London, now in our 3rd decade.  We have 32 staff and 80 volunteers delivering services and supporting the work of the organisation.   The Charity enables people with HIV to live full and healthy lives and works to ending the onward transmission of HIV.
