Positive East presents Rays of Resistance – an unforgettable evening of celebration set against the powerful backdrop of the arts’ role in HIV/AIDS activism.

Get ready for a dazzling display of music, dance, and spoken word performances narrated by singer and producer ROY INC. Witness how seminal artworks from the past challenged stigma and fostered a sense of community, while powerful voices of today ignite hope and inspire action.

100% of the funds raised on the night will go towards our Benefits Advice service for people living with HIV in East London.

How is the evening presented?

The evening is presented as a celebration. The event is standing with multiple cashless bars. Throughout the evening, poetry, dance, live music, and spoken word will be performed, with a closing DJ set from the iconic Pam Hogg.

At times, the evening will be similar to a concert, vouge ball, club night and community celebration. Please note there will be loud music, flashing lights and use of haze.

Will there be bars?

Yes, there will be multiple bars throughout the venue. 100% of the ticket sales and bar proceeds will be donated to Positive East.

Is there a coat check?

Unfortunely, there will be no coat check available.

Is there dancing/DJs?

Yes! We hope you’ll be moved throughout the night.

What other artworks will be presented?

The evening will also feature archival film, photography, and a tribute to the UK AIDS Memorial Quilt and ACT UP.
