Express Yourself is a series of three creative workshops empowering anyone who lives with HIV to share our voices. We are the only ones who can tell our own stories – and these workshops will help you do that. Stigma is real, but creative writing and performance techniques can help us reflect and grow in confidence. Go inside, for your finest inspiration, your dreams will open the door…
All from 6.30pm to 8.30pm with a hot meal served from 6pm – including vegan and gluten free choices.
If local travel costs are a barrier to taking part, let us know
These workshops are open to anyone living with HIV, no matter where in London you live or receive your HIV care
Led by theatre-maker Brian Mullin and Positive East’s Mina Kakaiya, we’ll be a mixed group meeting of all kinds of people living with HIV. Together we’ll share experiences, laughter, music and self-care to create personal pieces that express what it feels like in this world, surviving – and thriving – with HIV.
Everyone will have the chance to see Brian’s new show Live to Tell and if you wish, to share your own work, at the end of the process. No previous experience of arts or writing needed. You’re a superstar, that’s what you are!
