Our regular film screenings in Ilford, in partnership with Redbridge Libraries!
To promote awareness around National Hate Crime Awareness Week this session will differ slightly from the usual format.
We’ll be starting at 5pm with a talk from Police Inspector Kimberly Cope from the Metropolitan Police (specifically the Havering, Redbridge and Barking & Dagenham areas). After this, there will be a screening of an award-winning film (one of the first Hollywood films to address HIV and the stigma that surrounds it, starring Tom Hanks). This will be shown in the York Room.
Our volunteers will be welcoming guests at the entrance of the library from 4:30pm. There will be a short break between the evening’s main activities, with a selection of nibbles, juices and hot drinks provided for all.
For more information about this film night and the events in general, please email Massimo Nardi.
The next film night will be announced soon.
