Movie Night at Positive East

The first of our regular monthly Movie Nights at Positive East – on the 2nd Tuesday of each month. Come along and enjoy a film in the company of others living with HIV, enjoy a warm welcome, a hot meal, and maybe even some popcorn.

This time we’re going to Cuba with ‘Fresa y chocolate’ (Strawberries and chocolate).  Oscar nominated on its release in 1993, it’s become a cult classic of Spanish-language cinema. It’s the story of two men who are opposites: one gay, the other straight; one a fierce communist, the other a fierce individualist; one suspicious, the other accepting; and how they come to love each other. (In Spanish with English subtitles).
