PrEP Access for Women: Let Communities Lead – Webinar

March 13 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm

Positive East is hosting an international webinar to discuss experiences and challenges of access and equity of PrEP for women, in particular, black African and Caribbean women in the UK and diverse African countries.

This online conference will highlight international community projects that have enabled women to protect themselves against HIV transmission through PrEP. You will be able to learn about the projects’ successes and limitations and thus be able to adapt them to your own community. Issues surrounding why it is vital for communities to lead and the importance of collaboration will also be discussed. This session will be highly interactive, therefore allowing you to ask specific questions and garner insights from our esteemed panel.

Speakers include:

  • Yasmin Dunkley, Public Health Epidemiologist and HIV Technical Consultant, Botswana and the UK
  • Pamela Menzies-Banton, Women4Women Coordinator, Positive East, London, UK
  • Irene Issac, Microplanner at Centre for Sexual Health and HIV/AIDS Research (CeSHHAR), Zimbabwe
  • Dr Vanessa Apea, Consultant Physician in Sexual Health and HIV/Honorary Senior Lecturer, Ghana and the UK
