Theatre Night – On Railton Road: A Play – Museum of the Home

November 1, 2023 @ 7:30 pm - 10:00 pm

Museum of the Home has kindly donated a limited number of tickets to Positive Life for one of  the preview performances of On Railton Road: A Play, the first theatre production to be staged at Museum of the Home.

On Railton Road: A Play:  Ian Giles and Louis Rembges’ critically acclaimed play is a hedonistic drama about the lives and loves of the pioneering queer squatters who fought for a place to call home.  Based on real events and real people, this landmark production will use rare archival interviews to bring this revolutionary period to life on stage, highlighting queer domestic spaces.  Museum of the Home presents this bold new production with an exciting ensemble cast and music by Sophie Crawford. A powerful and moving story of queer communities in Brixton,   For more information, click on:  On Railton Road | Performance | Theatre | Museum of the Home.

For your ticket or for more information, please contact nick.maxwell@positiveeast.org.uk

One of the cast is Dan De La Motte, who will be a familiar face to many of us, as he was Brian Mullins co-performer in Live To Tell earlier this year.  Dan is also working with the Museum of the Home on some maker workshops – Remembering LGBTQ+ Homes – exploring experiences of home, whether squatted, rented or owned – linked to the themes of the play.  If you’re interested in these, contact the Museum directly.
