Women’s Group – Museum of the Home visit

September 27, 2023 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Our support group for women living with HIV who live, or get their HIV treatment in, East London.  Offering a safe and supportive environment to help you connect with other women living with HIV, to socialise, have fun and learn and share with each other.

It takes place on the last Wednesday of every other month, alternating with our Green Light group that is open to anyone living with HIV who lives in East London, or gets their treatment here.

This time it’s an opportunity for a special guided afternoon visit to the fantastic Museum Of The Home in Hoxton, led by their curator Sinead McCarthy.  The museum offers a fascinating look at the way people used to live, in particular looking at the rooms they lived in, in their Rooms Through Time exhibits.  There’s also a beautiful garden offering a trip through 400 years of Gardens Through Time

We’re building an ongoing relationship with the museum, for future visits and also to allow us the chance to find ways to contribute our ideas and experiences – so that our lives are represented in future exhibitions through their Real Rooms Project.

There’ll be a break for tea, coffee, and biscuits during the visit, kindly provided by the Museum
