Our support group for women living with HIV who live, or get their HIV treatment in, East London. Offering a safe and supportive environment to help you connect with other women living with HIV, to socialise, have fun and learn and share with each other. There will also be a tasty hot meal served from around 6.15
It takes place on the last Wednesday of every other month, alternating with our Green Light group that is open to anyone living with HIV who lives in East London, or gets their treatment here.
This month we’ve a return visit from our special guest Susan Cole from NAM – an organisation we partner with, internationally known for many years for its work that changes lives by sharing independent, accurate & accessible information about HIV, with a treatment and wellbeing update focused on issues for women living with HIV
Susan is an award-winning HIV activist, broadcaster, writer and public speaker, advocating for people living with HIV for two decades. She’ll be updating us with all the recent and important updates in HIV treatment and key health issues for all people living with HIV, plus matters of interest to different groups of HIV+ people and in particular women’s wellbeing.
Please let us know in advance if you intend to come, especially if travel or care costs are a barrier to taking part, you need to let us know in advance. Support is available to HIV positive people who live in East London (or get their HIV treatment in East London) who have no recourse to public funds, or are experiencing a gap in benefits or income. You’ll need to provide a receipt or other evidence of travel costs and spend.
