The theme for World Mental Health Day 2023 is ‘Mental health is a universal human right’, so you’re warmly invited to Positive East’s Autumn Open Day. We’re holding our own celebration a couple of days after World Mental Health Day, to avoid clashing with other events.
As you’d expect, this time we’re shining a spotlight on the ways that getting involved with Positive East can support you to maintain your own mental wellbeing, and that of others. And being October, we’re also marking Black History Month in this event.
5pm to 6pm – Drop in and chat to our staff and volunteers and find out more about our services and facilities, as well as opportunities for volunteering or getting involved in the Red Run or other community fundraising activities. There will also be an information point and advice from Community Liaison officers from Hackney and Tower Hamlets about hate crime, as this week is also Hate Crime Awareness Week
There’ll be a tasty hot meal served between 6.15pm and 7pm, then from 7pm to 8.30 we’ve got presentations and performances:
Come and join us. And enjoy Good Mental Health on the Twelfth – and beyond.
To let us know you’re coming (which helps us to plan for food catering) or for more information contact Mina.Kakaiya@PositiveEast.org.uk or call 020 7791 9301
