Positive Over 50 is our new social and support lunch group for people living with HIV aged 50 and above, running on the first Thursday afternoon of each month.
Join us for a tasty, freshly cooked, roast lunch prepared for us by our friends at Food Chain Lunch will be served at 1pm in our friendly, relaxing cafe. Meat is halal, and there are vegan/vegetarian choices.
This lunch group is for you if you are HIV positive, over 50, and either live in East London or get your HIV care in an East London clinic.
This month, after lunch we’re delighted to have a return visit from Susan Cole from aidsmap . aidsmap provides independent, accurate and accessible information about HIV and is beginning working on a series of information resources tailored to the needs of older people living with HIV. Susan is coming to us to find out more about our priorities for what we would like covered in these resources. We’ll also be listening carefully, as your views will help shape the development of some special Positive Over 50 wellbeing workshops we’re planning in the coming year.
Places are limited and so you must let us know in advance if you intend to come. If travel or care costs are a barrier to taking part, you need to let us know in advance. Support is available to people who have no recourse to public funds, or are experiencing a gap in benefits or income.
