Together is our new social and support group for anyone living with HIV. This group is for you if you are HIV positive and either live in East London or get your HIV care in an East London clinic. It will usually meet on the second Wednesday evening of each month, but this day and time may vary especially for visits out, so its best to check these listing regularly
There’ll be 10 activities a year, with an interesting and varied mix of activities. From shared dinners, to guest speakers, workshops and visits out to attractions and places of interest.
The usual timetable when we meet at our Stepney Green building is:
This month – as Ramadan and Lent have come to an end – we’re having a Focus On Food and encouraging everyone to bring and share their memories of food – something that reminds you of childhood, home, your culture, or anything significant in your life. That could be a memory, a recipe, or a story.
With guest speaker and Positive East Peer Mentor Jane Lebbie – sharing her thoughts on a holistic approach to food, balancing enjoyment with a diet that supports wellbeing, both in variety and amount of food. Answering questions from a dietician perspective we’ll have Luke White from Food Chain.
Places are limited and so please let us know in advance if you intend to come so we can plan for catering.
If travel or care costs are a barrier to taking part, you need to let us know in advance. See here for details of eligibility
