Jo Everest, Community Relations Manager at the London Community Credit Union Ltd, has agreed to give a talk about the operation, set up and advantages of joining local credit unions and how they can help you.
Credit unions operate with three main aims: to provide loans at low rates, to encourage all members to save regularly (no matter how minimal your income is) and to help members in need of financial advice and assistance.
Jo will explain what a credit union is and does, the differences between credit unions and banks, facilities, services and banking accounts offered by credit unions, how to join a union, and why it may be far more worth your while to join a credit union rather than a bank or building society – no matter your level of income.
